HIPODROMO CHILE RACECOURSE |
Arguably the most important racecourse in Chile, the Chilean capital of Santiago is the home of the Hipodromo Chile, a dirt course with a circumference of just 1665 metres. |
The course was first established in the early years of 1900 with the first meeting taking place on 19th September 1904. |
It hosts the most important Group 1 races in Chile, including the Gran Premio Hipodromo Chile and the Chilean St Leger. It also hosts the two classic Guineas races, the 1000 and 2000 Guineas. Other Group 1 races held at the track are the Tanteo de Potrancas, the Tanteo de Potrillos and the Gran Criterium Mauricio Serrano Palma. |
